The honest call
Sometimes the right answer is: don't fix it.
A pump or heater that is old enough, or a filter that has already been patched more than once, can cost more to keep alive than to replace. We tell you that before we quote the repair, not after we have already done the work and handed you a bill.
If a repair is the right call, we make it. If it is not, we say so and lay out what replacement actually looks like, so you are deciding with real information instead of guessing.

Variable speed pumps and your power bill
A single speed pump runs full blast the whole time it is on, whether the pool needs that much flow or not. A variable speed pump runs slow for routine filtration and only ramps up when the job calls for it, and on APS and SRP rate plans that difference shows up on your bill every month.
We will not throw out a number until we have looked at your pump, your filtration hours, and your rate plan. For most of the single speed pumps we replace, though, the upgrade pays itself down over time on the power savings alone.
